The PC925 measures 7.05x6.69x5.04 inches. Because it is a dry cell it can be mounted in any direction except upside down. I mounted it as seen because it made it possible to reposition the little black fuse box. I bolted it directly to the battery by bending the positive metal lead. I also had to extend one of the wires out the back so it would reach. To hold the battery down I custom made the aluminum bracket you see. It has a lip on the back and is held down by three screws. One is stock, one is stock that was bent and the last uses a lock nut on the bottom and a wing nut on the top. I got this battery for about $150 back in August of 99. It still works to this day and was used daily for about 4 years but now sits for weeks at a time and starts the car easily. I'll be creating a custom battery tray for it soon. For more details on the battery or to find a dealer near you go to Hawker Energy's web site. Another good website is http://www.stealth316.com/2-dynabatt.htm. It outlines the clear advantages of Hawker's line of batteries.
Update: This battery finally died after 6 years of solid service.
Unlike standard batteries it didn't just up and quit one day. Instead it slowly
looses its ability to hold a charge. So instead of driving to the mall and then
being unable to start your car after a day of being dragged around by your woman
this battery fails to hold a charge overnight. This allows you to deal with the
problem at your house where you may have a battery charger or jumpstarting
device. I bought a new one for about $115 at
www.batterymart.com. My only complaint
is that the battery is red in color now, which doesn't mesh well with my blue
and black color scheme.
